Inspiration
Burlap is also known as hessian or gunny, it is made of the fibers extracted from a jute plant. It is a biodegradable material, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly product. I was curious as to how these fibers are processed and woven into a cloth and eventually stitched together to make these bespoke bags.
Weaving is when you take two sets of yarns or threads and cross them at right angles to make fabric. It's like a dance between the vertical warp yarns and the horizontal weft yarns, creating all sorts of patterns and textures.
